In this article you'll learn how to configure which employees appear in the Calendar My team view by adjusting the My colleagues widget settings. The Calendar My team view now aligns with your My colleagues widget configuration, allowing you to control visibility based on department, office, team, division, manager, and other criteria. This article is for administrators who want to manage what employee information is displayed in the Calendar view.
The reason why the view of the employees that are listed in Calendar > My team might have changed for you and your employees is that we have made it consistent with the behaviour of the My colleagues widget.
To better understand what has really changed, let's remember what the widget My colleagues shows:
By default, in this widget, employees will see all people from their Department and their Manager. However, as an Admin, you can customize the visibility of the colleagues that you want your employees to see. For example, you can choose to show people from the same office, team, division, and/or people reporting to the same manager.
For all these groups, you can even go a step further and customize the scope of that visibility. As an example, you can select the option to show people from the team the employee belongs to, but only if they are managers.
Last but not least, you can select the option My picks, which in that case you give the employees the power to personalize their own experience and select the people whose information they want to see in the widget. The employees would, therefore, have the button PERSONALISE in the upper right corner, to hand-pick the colleagues they want to see.
Now, whatever configuration you choose in this widget for your organization will match the information that will appear in the Calendar view. In other words, the default view of the Calendar aligns with the settings under the My colleagues widget.
If you want to change the view of the employees that appear in the Calendar view > My team, simply change the configuration of the widget in Settings > Home Widgets > My colleagues > Settings.
