In this article you'll learn how to edit shift details and save your changes to update shift information. You can modify any shift field including date, time, role, location, employee assignment, and notes, with automatic updates to capacity details and employee notifications. This article is relevant for anyone managing shifts in your organization.

Once you click on the pencil icon, all the fields in the shift details become editable. That means that you can now edit and change any field, such as:

  • The date of the shift

  • Start time and end time,

  • Role, location, working areas and tags

  • Employee assigned and

  • Shift notes.

After you have made your changes, you can then save the shift and you will see a confirmation that the shift has been edited.

What happens after the shift has been edited?

  • The shift is relocated in case there are changes in the date or employees.

  • The capacity details on the amount of scheduled shifts are updated for both the employee and the total planned capacity.

  • If you changed only the shift details without changing the employee assigned, then the employee will get a push notification on their mobile device (if you decided to notify the employee).

  • If you decided not to notify your employee, the changes will be directly published and updated on the employee’s Kenjo mobile app. They can directly see the changes when they navigate to that particular shift.
