For Time off policies that have the 'Require approval' option selected during the policy creation process, you can set up a two-step approval process.
With this feature, you can define a second step in the time off approval process in your company.
Creating Two-step approval process
Once you create Time off types and policies (that have the 'Require approval' option selected during the policy creation process), please follow the next steps to set up a two-step approval process:
- Under Settings > Overview > Features > Time off > Settings, click the '+' icon beside Two-step approval
- Enter the Approval rule name and select the Time off policies that require two-step approval
- Click the '+' icon beside Add rule (optional) to add the rules for the second level of approval
- Click Next to navigate to the next page
- Click the '+' icon beside Approvers to add atleast one or more final approvers. The first approval is handled by the manager of the person who submits the request
- Click Finish to complete the set-up process
Note:
- The two-step approval process can be applied only to policies that have 'Require approval' option selected during the policy creation process
- If no rules are defined, two-step approval will be needed for all time off requests of the selected policies
- Multiple approvers can be selected for the final approval process. Approval from one of the approvers is sufficient for the final approval
