In this article you'll learn how to access and view the Attendance summary for all employees or individual employees, and how to navigate between monthly and weekly views. The Attendance summary displays tracked hours, expected hours, differences, overtime balance, and compensation information with color-coded indicators to help you quickly identify overtime and undertime. This article is for HR administrators and managers who need to monitor employee attendance data in your organization.
1. For all employees
Click People > Attendance summary on the top menu bar, to view the Attendance summary for all employees in your organization
Click SHOW FILTERS in the upper left corner to see specific information based on your requirements
Click on an employee listed to access the employee's individual attendance page
2. To see the Attendance summary, you can use the monthly or the weekly view:

Columns | Name of the employee
Status: status of approval and geolocation
Tracked/Expected: number of tracked/expected hours in the chosen month
Difference: the difference between the tracked and expected hours in the chosen month (could be different if a waiver is applied)
Overtime balance: total uncompensated overtime (in hours)
Compensated: number of hours compensated by paying out or providing time off | Name of the employee
Status: status of approval and geolocalization
Days: number of hours tracked on each day of the chosen week
Tracked/Expected: number of tracked/expected hours in the chosen week
Overtime: number of overtime hours earned this week

Colour codes for tracked/expected hours:
Yellow: If tracked hours are greater than the expected hours by 10%, meaning overtime. Orange: If tracked hours are lesser than the expected hours by 10%, meaning undertime. Grey: In other cases |

3. For a single employee
Under People > Select an employee > Attendance, you can view the Attendance details of a specific employee in your organization.
To see the Attendance summary of a single employee, you can also use the monthly or date range.
4. Monthly view
Under Monthly view,
Click the < or > buttons to navigate between different months
Click on the Month to open a box in which you can easily navigate to a different year or month
5. Hours summary
The following information will be displayed:
Tracked so far: the number of hours tracked so far in that month
Expected: the number of hours expected for that month (depending on the work schedule assigned to the employee)
Overtime:
Current balance: total uncompensated over time (in hours) at the end of the month
Compensated this month
Earned this month: the difference between the tracked and expected hours in the chosen month (could be different if a waiver is applied)
Starting balance: number of overtime hours at the beginning of a month

6. Time entry section
Daily entries have color bars at the left end to provide more clarity.
Green: When tracked hours are equal to the expected hours
Light orange: when tracked hours are fewer than the expected hours (under time)
Bright orange: when tracked hours are greater than the Expected hours (overtime)
Grey: the colour of any future days, non-working days/time off/holidays
Blue: the colour of "today" until the user inputs any hours
Once a time entry is made, a "v" button appears left to the date. You can click on the "v" button to view the operations performed on that particular date.
7. Date range view
Once you pick the dates under this view, the following information will be displayed:

Tracked: Number of hours tracked during the chosen dates
Expected: Number of hours expected during the chosen dates
9. Time entry section
A table with the following columns will be displayed below:

Note: Time entries that have 0 expected hours and 0 tracked hours will not appear in this table.
