Create a time off restriction

With this new function in the time off settings, you can automatically and transparently define periods during which your employees cannot request vacation.


To manage existing time off restrictions, read this article.

Create a time off restriction

  • Go to Time off > Settings
  • Find RESTRICTIONS in the vertical menu and click on Settings
  • Click ADD RESTRICTION





  • Under Name and Date, enter the title and the start and end date of the block. Optionally, add a description and a repetition interval



  • Under Time off policy, select the policies the block should apply to. The block applies to all employees under the selected policies.





Requesting a time off when a restriction is active 


When employees try to request a time off when a restriction is active, they receive a red info note that the request is not possible due to a restriction. Clicking on the request button is not possible.
