Create new Reports

Modified on Wed, 28 Apr, 2021 at 8:47 PM

In the reports section, you have the possibility to create all the important evaluations of your HR and Recruiting sections. There are basically two types of reports: stacked charts or tables.

Click on the "Reports" icon in the side menu and choose one of the report templates already predefined by the system.

Grouping

Most reports allow you to group by different values. The most common one is chosen automatically when you open the report. The 'Absence days' report, for example, is grouped by time off type by default, but depending on your needs you could also want to group by display name - to see the number of days per employee - or by office - to compare different locations - and so on.

Filter

Sometimes it might be useful to see only a certain part of your data. That's where filters come into place. Using a filter allows you to remove data based on certain conditions. If you choose more than one filter they are combined by an 'and-logic'. That means, that both filters have to be true to show data. For example, a filter for 'office equals to Berlin' and 'department equals to HR' would show only employees, who are working in HR and are located in Berlin. Colleagues in HR, who work in Munich won't be shown.

Date field

Changing the date field offers even more options. You can not only adjust the time frame of your data but also change the view on your data. If you switch to 'start date' for example, you could find all employees, who started in the chosen time frame, but still, show the related data of this specific report. If we look again at the absence days report, select 'start date' as the date field and put from '01.01.2019', we will see the absences only for employees, who started on 01.01.2019 or later. So all your employees, who started 2018 or earlier won't be part of this report anymore. The same can be done with the birthdate or other available fields in that dropdown.

Export

Click on 'EXPORT' to get the data as an Excel or CSV file and continue working with it locally.

Save

You found the perfect combination of filters and grouping and you will need that more often in the future? Just click on 'save' and create your own custom report. Pick a name and a description and next time you can open this report with one click only.
