Once you create a work schedule in Kenjo, you can manage schedule. You can set a work schedule as default, edit the schedule, duplicate, manage employees or delete a schedule. Read this article when you want to find out how to assign employees to a work schedule.

1) Set work schedule as default
When a work schedule is marked as default, it will be applied to the following employees:
- Employees without assigned schedules, e.g. new employees.
- Employees who were assigned to a different default schedule before
2) Edit a work schedule
Under Attendance Settings, please follow the below steps to edit a Work Schedule:
- Under Attendance > work schedules, you'll find the already existing schedules
- Click on the three dots button to edit the schedule
- You can edit the work days, work hours and and the work schedule type
1. Work schedules name: Specify a name for this work schedule.
2. Expected time calculated from work schedules: At the moment this is our only source to calculate the expected time of an employee from. Soon we will offer to calculate an employee's expected time from shift plan as well.
3. Work schedule type:
- Flexible: Simply define the total of hours per each selected working day. The real hours will be gathered from the employee's time entries.
- Fixed: Allow to define specific working hours per each selected working day
- You can add multiple shifts per working day by clicking on the blue (+) at the very day or delete a multiple shift by clicking on the red trash can-item.

Note: Fill in the Expected Hours for the active work days in HH:MM format. | Note: Type in the start and the end time of the employee's shift in 24-hours format. |
Note: You can't edit an employee's start date of a schedule, once you saved it.
3) Duplicate a work schedule
When you want to use an existing work schedule as a template for a similar new work schedule you can duplicate it.
Under Attendance Settings, please follow the below steps to edit a Work Schedule:
- Under Attendance > work schedules, you'll find the already existing schedules
- Click on the three dots button
- Click on duplicate
- Give this duplicated work schedule a new name
- Option 1. You can leave the duplicated work schedule as it is
- Option 2. You can change work days, work hours or/and the work schedule type
- Click save
4) Manage employees
You can manage employees by either:
- 1. clicking on Employees assigned or
- 2. clicking on manage employees via the three-dot-icon
You can now see an overview of the assigned employees and their assignment type. The assignment type tells you whether the employee is currently assigned to the work schedule, was assigned to it in the past (past assignment) or is going to be assigned to it in the future (future assignment)
- View the list of employees, assign new employees or
Remove employees
- Check the box left of the employee's name
- Click on ACTIONS
- Click Unassign
5) Delete a work schedule
Under Attendance Settings, please follow the below steps to edit a work schedule
- Under Attendance > work schedules, you'll find the already existing schedules
- Click on the three dots button to delete a template
Note: You can only delete a work schedule when no employees are assigned to it.
