With the new pay types, attendance entries will no longer be generated for hourly paid time off requests. As part of the upcoming release, we will automatically migrate all day-based time off types from the old activity types to the new pay types. However, there are exceptions for hourly paid time off types, which will require manual migration by customers.
What do I need to do?
Important note: We recommend that you migrate to a new pay type between now and December 2024. The sooner you migrate the better you're prepared for the changes and the earlier you can enjoy the new time off request features such as multiple or repeated requests. In case you don't migrate your data before the end of the year, we will then migrate the hourly Time off types automatically.
Why do hourly paid Time off types need to be migrated manually?
Use Cases: Hourly time off types are used in various ways (e.g. work from home, training, room booking, overtime reduction), so we want to give you the flexibility to choose the most appropriate new pay type for you. There isn’t a straightforward 1-to-1 mapping between the old activity types and the new pay types and therefore you need to choose the pay type manually.
Summary of changes
The following table shows the impact of the alignments we made for hourly and salaried employees.
