Custom Org chart

Along with the standard Org chart generated by the system, you can create custom Org charts in Kenjo.

This feature allows you not only to create custom views of existing organizational structures but also to visualize how you can restructure the whole organization in a few clicks. Following elements can be used to create custom Org charts:

  • Single employee (including inactive employees)
  • Company
  • Department
  • Future role
  • Assistant
  • Division
  • Team

Note: Everyone except users under the Restricted access profile will have access to custom Org chart views. An exception can be made by creating custom profiles.

Under People > Org Chart, you can access the Standard org chart.

To create a custom Org chart, please follow the next steps:

  • Click on Add Org chart view towards the top right corner
  • Choose the base to be Empty, Standard org chart, or existing custom Org charts and provide a name of your choice
  • If you select an Empty base, you can click Create first element to add your first element to the whiteboard. Otherwise, you can add elements to any of the existing elements in the Org chart by clicking the "+" icon that appears when you hover the mouse over an existing element
  • Add more elements by clicking the "+" icon that appears when you hover the mouse over an existing element
  • Click on Finish to save the custom org chart

Note: Only the Admin and HR Admin can create custom Org chart views. An exception can be made by creating custom profiles.

Depending on the side, the "+" icon signifies the following:

  • Add manager (top)
  • Add subordinate (down)
  • Add peer (right & left)

When you add an inactive employee as an element to the custom Org chart, it will be greyed out to differentiate it from the active employees.
