Check in and out with Kiosk

In this article, you will learn how to check in or out using our feature Kiosk.


Kiosk is Kenjo's feature that allow you to check in or out in a physical device, using a personalized PIN code or a QR code (depending on which of the two has been configured in your company's Kenjo account. 


This PIN code is a unique-personalized pin that you will use to both check in or out from work.


Note: to use the Kiosk, the Admin or HR Admin of your company's Kenjo account must have enabled it.

Check in and out with  PIN code


Step 1: Search PIN code


The moment that the Admin or HR Admin of your company has activated the Kiosk with PIN code for your location, you will receive a notification via:



1.  Notification within Kenjo

  • Click on the PIN CODE notification 
  • Find the 6-digit code



2. E-Mail 


  • Select the automated e-mail Your employee PIN code was generated
  • Find the 6-digit code



3. Mobile Push notifications

  • Find the Push Notification New PIN code created
  • Find the 6-digit code



  • Insert your code at your company's Kiosk Terminal



 


Forgot PIN code


HR-Admins and Admins can view and refresh all employee's codes. Employees can also view and refresh their code following these steps: 



If you happen to forget your code, you can easily go to:



You  have two options:


  • To view code: Click on the eye-icon
  • To reset code: Click REFRESH PIN CODE to set a new code




When you reset the code, you:


  • can view it by clicking on the eye-icon
  • receive an email with the refreshed code








Step 2: Insert your PIN code to check in



At the entrance of your office, there must be a device in place where you can check in or out. This device could be a phone, a tablet or a computer.


  • Insert your personal PIN
  • The Kiosk will recognize your profile and ask IS IT YOU?
  • If it's you, click on CHECK IN
  • A new window will pop out, showing you the time you have checked in!
  • Finally, click on Okay, got it!  so another employee can check in after you






Step 3: Insert your PIN code to go for a break


  • To make a pause from work, enter your PIN code once again and click 'GO FOR A BREAK'
  • The clock will start counting the time you are on your break. Click on 'Okay, got it!'
  • Once you come back, click back in with your PIN
  • The clock will start counting the time you are back in
  • You will also see a summary of the time you start to work, the minutes you were off, and the time you resumed work







Step 4: Insert your PIN code to check out


Once you are finished with your working date, you can check out. Go to the check in/out device and follow the next steps:


  • Insert the PIN that was given to you
  • Your profile will open up
  • Hold the red button, 'HOLD TO CHECK OUT'
  • That's it! Now your check-out time is registered. You are ready for the day!





Check in and out with QR code



Step 1: Scan the QR with your phone


  • Open Kenjo on your phone
  • Tap Punch Clock
  • The camera will open up
  • Point the phone to the screen and scan the QR code


The QR code is always unique and can't be screenshotted. 




  • Click Ok, got it!
    Done! You have successfully checked in!





Step 2: Use your phone to go for a break



Whenever you use the QR code, you won't need to scan it to got for a break. Simply grab your mobile and press Go for break. To finish it, repeat the same process. The tracking method will register all the minutes you were on your pause. 





Step 3: Scan the QR code to check out


Once you are finished with your working day, you can check out. 

  • Go to the check in/out device
  • Open the Kenjo App on your phone
  • Slide the red arrow to check out
  • Point the phone to the screen and scan the QR code
  • Done!
