Geolocation feature helps you to track the location of your employees when they submit the attendance from Kenjo’s mobile app.

Once you enable the Attendance module under Settings > Features > Attendance by clicking the toggle button to the right, you will be able to enable Location tracking.
Activating Location tracking
As an admin, you can enable the feature for specific attendance policies from the Settings section.
Follow the next steps to activate location tracking:
- Go to Attendance > Settings > Attendance policies > Location tracking
- Toggle the Allow location tracking button to enable the location tracking
Adding Locations
You need to add one or more locations that will be considered as valid locations to track attendance from E.g. the address of the office.
You can also include a radius to define a range (circle) for the specific location.
Follow the next steps to add a location:
- Go to Settings > Features > Attendance
- Click on Settings
- Under Geolocation > Location > Locations, click the Add Location button
- Fill the form to specify the details of the location and click Validate address
- Click Save
The template form needs the following elements to be filled:
- Name (required): Name of the office E.g. Berlin office
- Address (required): Street name & no. of the location
- City (required): Name of the city of the location
- Country (required): Name of the country of the location
- Postal Code (required): Postal code of the location
- Radius (required): Range of the radius to be considered around the office (3 options are available: 0.1 km, 0.5 km, and 1 km)
Editing Locations
Follow the next steps to edit the existing locations:
- Go to Settings > Features > Attendance
- Click on Settings
- Under Geolocation > Activation & location > Locations, click on the "dotted line" against the respective location that you would like to edit
- Click Edit to make the necessary changes
Deleting locations
Please follow the next steps to delete an existing location:
- Go to Settings > Features > Attendance
- Click on Settings
- Under Geolocation > Activation & location > Locations, click on the three dots button against the respective location that you would like to delete
- Click on Delete to delete the existing location
Note:
- If the location tracking feature is disabled or no locations are added on Kenjo, Attendance tracking will work as usual.
- If an employee does not enable location tracking on his mobile, the location tracking feature won't function for the employee and Attendance tracking will work as usual.
- Geolocation can be enforced only on the mobile app but not on the desktop app.
Geolocation & Attendance
Once the Geolocation is enabled, your employees should be able to see something like this when they log in their attendance:
As an Admin, you can go to the Employee Profile > Attendance and see where that person was when he/she tracked the attendance.
You are also able to see information related to the location in the Attendance Summary under People > Attendance Summary:
Icon colors:
- Yellow: the attendance did not match any of the locations that are listed in the organization
- Grey: the employee did not use the GPS when entering their attendance
- Green: the employee entered their attendance from a valid location
