Employees: Submit availability/unavailability for shift plan

Modified on Tue, 15 Oct at 2:42 PM

We all know there are times when we would prefer not to work, whether it’s because your best friend is moving or your child has regular physiotherapy appointments. With the preferred day feature you can easily submit your available or unavailable days for shift planning, using your smartphone or mobile device. Please note that your shift planner decides whether to display the availabilities or unavailabilities of all employees. Depending on their selection, you enter your availabilities or unavailabilities for a specific period in Kenjo.

Please note, your unavailabilities will be visible to your shift planner, but they may still assign you shifts.

Submit availability/unavailability

1. Log in to Kenjo using your credentials.

2. Go to the Shift section. If you’re not directed there immediately, click on Shift Planning icon in the left-hand menu.

3. Click on the calendar icon with the cross and checkmark to access the availabilities/unavailabilities section.

4. Create an availability/unavailability by clicking on Create working hours.

5. Enter all the details:

  • If you are unavailable for the entire day, toggle the switch for Full day.
  • For specific hours: Select the start and end time using the clock for the day(s) you are unavailable.
  • If your unavailability repeats in a specific pattern, click on Does not repeat and choose the frequency of the unavailability.
  • Enter the weekdays when this unavailability repeats.
  • Set the weekly frequency (e.g., every 2, 3, or 4 weeks). In this example, I’m unavailable every Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM until October 31st.
  • You will now see all your collected unavailabilities in the overview.

6. Click on an availability/unavailability entry to view the details.

7. Once you’ve entered an availability/unavailability, your shift planner will get notified and your changes appear in their overview.
