If a shift no longer works for you, you can send a swap request to another employee. This way, you can cover each other’s shifts and take over one that fits better—fully managed between employees, without involvement from the shift planner.
Depending on settings from your admin or shift planner, you might only see shifts of specific employees, such as those in the same role. As admin please read this article.

There are several ways how you can send a swap request:

Send a swap request via co-workers shifts
- Open the Kenjo App on your mobile device
- Go to Shiftplan
- In the horizontal upper menu find the tab company shifts
- Select the day and a dedicated shift you want to send a swap request for
- Optional: Add a comment
- Click SEND SWAP REQUEST

Send a swap request via your own shift
- Go to Shiftplan
- Select your own shift that you want to exchange
- Click SWAP SHIFT at the bottom
- Tap in the Team member shift field to find a coworker's shift
- You will be lead to the company shift section where you find all upcoming shifts from coworkers
- Select a date and a suitable shift
- Optional: Add a comment
- Click SEND SWAP REQUEST

Send a swap request via swap icon
- Go to Shiftplan
- Click on the two-arrows icon that indicates a swap on the top
- Now you see swaft request overview page, under sent requests you can find all active shift swaps you have sent and under received requests all active requests coworkers sent to you
- Click on the blue (+) icon to create a new swap request
- Select your own shift that you want to swap
- Tap in the Team member shift field to find a coworker's shift
- You will be lead to the company shift section where you find all upcoming shifts from coworkers
- Select a date and a suitable shift
- Optional: Add a comment
- Click SEND SWAP REQUEST

Push Notification when request is handled
When your request is accepted or declined, you will receive a push notification.
Accept or decline a swap request
There are several ways how you can manage swap shift requests:
Manage via notifications
- You receive a push notification with a shift swap request
- Click on the notification
- Review time, date, location, role and shift duration of the swap request
- Click DECLINE to decline the swap request and keep your original shift
- Click ACCEPT to accept the swap request and to exchange your original shift with the requested one. You're now fully responsible for the new shift.
- When accepted: Your coworker will receive a push notification with the details of his now new shift

Manage via swap icon
- Click on the two arrows icon with the yellow dot that indicates a new unread swap
- A swap request overview page opens, showing all active requests you’ve sent and received—only those that are still pending and not expired or declined.
- Click on one request
- Manage the request by accepting or declining received requests or canceling your own sent requests

Cancel sent request
You can only cancel sent requests that have not been accepted by your coworker.
- Go to Shift plan
- Look for your original shift you already requested to swap by checking the purple two-arrow swap icon
- Click on the swap request
- Click CANCEL SWAP
