Once you enable the Attendance tracking and Attendance summary, you can view the attendance summary of the overall company or an employee respectively under different sections. 


Viewing Attendance summary


For all the employees


Under People > Attendance summary on the top menu bar, you can view the Attendance summary for all the employees in your organization. 


You can apply filters to see specific information based on your requirements. Also, you can click on an employee listed to access the employee's individual attendance page. 


Color codes:

  • If tracked hours are greater than the expected hours by 10%, the box is colored yellow i.e. overtime
  • If tracked hours are lesser than the expected hours by 10%, the box is colored orange i.e. undertime
  • In other cases, the box is colored gray


Monthly view


Under Monthly view, 

  • Click the or > buttons to navigate between different months
  • Click on the Month to open a dialog box in which you can navigate to a different year or month easily



Following information will be displayed under this section:

  • Name of the employee
  • Tracked/Expected - number of tracked/expected hours in the chosen month
  • Difference - the difference between the tracked and expected hours in the chosen month (could be different if a waiver is applied)
  • Overtime balance - total uncompensated overtime (in hours)
  • Compensated - number of hours compensated by paying out or providing time off



Weekly view


Under Weekly view,

  • Click the or > buttons to navigate between different weeks



Following information will be displayed under this section:

  • Name of the employee
  • Days - number of hours tracked on each day of the chosen week
  • Tracked/Expected - number of tracked/expected hours in the chosen week
  • Overtime - number of overtime hours earned this week




For a single employee


Under People > Select an employee > Attendance, you can view the Attendance summary of a specific employee in your organization. 


Monthly view


Under Monthly view, 

  • Click the or > buttons to navigate between different months
  • Click on the Month to open a dialog box in which you can navigate to a different year or month easily

Past & Future


Following information will be displayed:

  • Tracked - the number of hours tracked in that month
  • Expected - the number of hours expected for that month (depending on the work schedule assigned to the employee)
  • Overtime (always be ZERO for a future month) - Click on Details to access the details of overtime 
    • Starting balance - number of overtime hours at the beginning of a month 
    • Earned this month - the difference between the tracked and expected hours in the chosen month (could be different if a waiver is applied)
    • Current balance - total uncompensated overtime (in hours) at the end of the month



Present


Following information will be displayed:

  • Tracked so far - the number of hours tracked in that month
  • Expected - the number of hours expected until the current date of that month (depending on the work schedule assigned to the employee)
  • Expected this month - the number of hours expected for that month (depending on the work schedule assigned to the employee)
  • Overtime - Click on Details to access the details of overtime
    • Starting balance - number of overtime hours at the beginning of a month 
    • Earned this month - the difference between the tracked and expected hours in the chosen month (could be different if a waiver is applied)
    • Current balance - total uncompensated overtime (in hours) at the end of the month



Time entry section


Daily entries have color bars at the left end to provide more clarity.


Green: Tracker hours equal the Expected hours

Light orange: Tracked hours are lesser than the Expected hours i.e. undertime

Bright orange: Tracked hours are greater than the Expected hours i.e. overtime

Gray: the color of any future days, non-working days/time off/holidays

Blue: the color of "today" until the user inputs any hours


Once a time entry is made, a "v" button appears beside the date. You can click on the "v" button to view the operations performed on that particular date. 




Note: Time entry for a future date is not possible and the section will be greyed out by default. 



Date range view



Once you pick the dates under this view, the following information will be displayed:


Hours summary

  • Tracked - Number of hours tracked during the chosen dates
  • Expected - Number of hours expected during the chosen dates


A table with the following information will be displayed below:

  • Date - dates that fall within the chosen date range
  • Hours expected - number of hours expected on each date
  • Hours tracked - number of hours tracked on each date
  • Status - "-" (in case there is no time entry for that date), Approved, Pending



Note: Time entries that have 0 expected hours and 0 tracked hours will not appear in this table.
