Import Attendance Data

Modified on Thu, 27 Oct, 2022 at 2:28 PM

When setting up your new Kenjo profile, you have the option to import your existing attendance data.

Note: Keep in mind that it is necessary to start with the Employee data import. Find out more in this article.

Go to Settings > Data Import and select the import type "Attendance". Next, click on IMPORT.

In the next step, you can upload your files. In the dropdown menu, choose your PREFERRED LANGUAGE to make the import and be able to download the template.
:rotating_light: Important: If you don’t choose a language, the option to download the template won’t be available.

Then, click on the “Download template” button placed at the bottom of the page.

Fill out the Excel template with the relevant information just like it is shown in the video

Then, drag and drop the file to Kenjo or upload it from your computer and click on UPLOAD.

You will then be asked to map the columns from the excel sheet to fields in Kenjo. Each column should be mapped. We have already mapped as many as possible based on their names. Anything that isn't automatically mapped can be manually mapped with the dropdown menu. You can always choose "Don't import column". When you are done, click on CONFIRM.

Lastly, choose the import name and click on FINALIZE IMPORT

Note: When you download the template, do not reorder, delete or add any columns. For the import to properly work, the structure sheet needs to stay as it is.

Error report

When the import is completed, you will receive an email from Kenjo.

The link in the email takes you directly to PAST IMPORTS, where all of your imports will appear. In case you have made an error while filling out the template, Kenjo will notice this and let you know.

The overview includes an Errors column. If the template was filled in correctly, the column will state No errors. If there is something missing in the template or a field has been filled out incorrectly, you can click on the link to download the Error report.

The error report tells you exactly what kind of mistake you made and where, so you can go back into the template and fix the mistakes.
