Configure Calendar Settings

Modified on Tue, 27 Dec, 2022 at 5:11 PM

Under Settings > Calendar > Settings, activate the calendar feature by toggling on the button. You are now able to configure your calendar settings.

Note:

  • If you disable the calendar feature at any point, all calendars which are already synched with your external calendars will be cleared.
  • To synchronise your Kenjo calendar with your external calendars, refer to this article.

Within the calendar settings, you have two options:

General Settings

In the general settings, you can activate or deactivate the feature to hide past time off in your calendar. If this option is enabled, the calendar will only show current and upcoming time off types. Time off types that occurred in the past will no longer be displayed.

Note: This setting also affects the exported calendars and their respective time off types. Activating this option will ensure that the exported calendars will not show past time offs.

Export calendar(s)

When you go to the export calendars section within the calendars settings, you have the options to enable the calendar export as well as the option to show private time off types as "Away".

Here, you can configure whether your employees can export the calendars and integrate them with other tools such as Google, Outlook or Apple. The calendars can be exported from the Calendar page by using the Export button, then you could integrate this URL with other calendars.

Enable calendar export

  • Allow your employees to sync Kenjo time offs into an external calendar (Google, Outlook, Apple, etc)
    • Note: If you disable this feature, it will clear all the calendars which are already synched with external calendars

  • When an employee is deactivated, the URLs this employee integrated with external calendars will be cleared and will no longer show events. This ensures that if an employee is deactivated, they will not be able to see any events in their exported calendars.

Show private time off types as "Away"

  • By default, private time off types will be shown as 'Away' in the exported calendars.
  • Disable this option if you don't want to show private time off types at all in the exported calendars

Note: Private time off types are those that you did not mark as 'public' when you configured its settings in Settings > Time off type > Time off type visibility
