For DSPs: Import of TSM employee data

Modified on Fri, 30 May at 4:54 PM

In this article we guide you through the process of importing your employee data from TSM.

Now you find yourself in the Data import section

  1   TYPE

  • Either Use our Template or click on Migrate with TSM export

Note: Make sure all employees have email IDs in the TSM export file. When one employee misses an email ID your migration file will not be imported. The email ID is the most important field in the import file.

Note: Make sure to NOT change the sequence of columns from the TSM file or add any extra columns.

Recommendation:  Before you start uploading your file make sure you created custom fields that TSM uses AND you want to import to Kenjo before also in Kenjo. You can create custom employee fields via:

  • Go to Settings
  • Choose Employee fields in the horizontal menu
  • Click ADD CUSTOM FIELD
  • Type in a field name
  • For the field type select Text when it is a text field, numeric when it contains numbers etc.

  2   UPLOAD

  • Drag and Drop or choose the import file from your computer
  • Click UPLOAD

  3   MAP

Kenjo will map fields it automatically identifies. For other fields you need to select the correct category using the drop-down menu.

1Here you find the mapped Kenjo field
2The green check mark indicates that the respective field has successfully been mapped
3The black  X  indicates that this column hasn't been mapped.
4Check this box to exclude unmapped columns (recommended)

  • Kenjo will import all data from TSM file by default. Except the following because of reasons mentioned:

Data

Why is it not imported

Location option
Kenjo could not deduce what is the usage of this data
Cell carrier
Was not used by 3 DSPs checked during building this feature
Payroll item
Was not used by 3 DSPs surveyed during building this feature
Employee number
Repetition of the first employee id field

Therefore if you want to import these data points, you need to create custom fields as mentioned above under recommendation and THEN run the import.

Kenjo will import and map the following data points by default to existing Kenjo fields

Data

Mapped to Kenjo field called :

Employee number
Employee ID
Employee first name
First name
Employee last name
Last name
Min hours
Newly created custom field Min Working Hours
Employee PhoneWork mobile
WorkgroupDelivery Station
Manageryes, if person is assigned to a Kenjo manager profile
EmailEmail

  • Click Confirm.
  • Finally, choose the import name and click on FINALIZE IMPORT.

Please be aware that imported employees are not yet activated.

  • When all data is processed you receive an email of the import. You can also view it in the Data import section, also whether errors occurred.
  • You can now find all your imported employees with their important employee data under People Directory.
  • To activate your imported employees, go this way.
