  • Firstly set the working hours in the format HH:MM

  • ☐ Show a reminder to the employee

Your employees will be reminded after the check out if they forgot to enter their break or the break time does not match the required break time. In this way you can support your employees to add their breaks accordingly to labor law or your rules and regulations.

Note: You can set up as many break reminder rules as you like. Please also note that the additional requirement always needs to be higher than the previous one, otherwise you won't be able to save it.

Once you establish the values for the break rules, these settings will be active throughout the different platforms in Kenjo, depending on your time tracking methods

  • Break Reminder Modal - Desktop
  • Break Reminder Modal - Mobile / QR
  • Break Reminder Modal - Kiosk Pin Code

Note: Conflicts from rest rule violations will only be visible on Desktop.

Note: The break reminders will apply to all profiles except of Admins and HR Admins.

Kenjo shows the total break time and the remaining break time to meet the required break time when a user checks out without having reached the required break time.

Employees will be required to enter start and end time of breaks. Kenjo will handle the calculations.

Once the break reminder was triggered, the employee can also decide to continue without adding a break.

Employees won’t be able to add a break earlier than their start time or later than their end time.

Note: This is just a reminder, employees are not forced to enter a break.

  • ☐ Deduct breaks automatically

When you set your break requirements and enable the automated break deduction; an automated break will be added to every time entry that requires a break. At the moment this only works for single time entries, e.g. a work time entry from 08:00-16:00.

As soon as you register two time entries e.g. from 08:00-12:00 and 14:00-18:00 no automated break will be deducted, although the daily hours worked would require it.
