Attendance conflicts are here to help you spot time entries of employees which are not aligning with the rules of the policy you assigned them to.
You can configure the option to show a conflict while editing a policy. Once activated we will highlight time entries with time tracking conflicts in the attendance summary and attendance details of your employees. This way you can identify conflicts with ease and take respective actions.
Note: Be aware that we don't block employees from entering conflicted time entries, but only flag an entry as a conflict.

Configure conflicts
- Go to Attendance > Settings > Policies
- Select Policy
- Click the three-dot menu to edit the policy
- Navigate to Rules
Each one of the following policy shift and break rules can raise a conflict as soon as the underlying rule is violated:
- Check the box Show a conflict for a policy rule in oder to raise a conflict
Manage Conflicts
The different policy rules will display a specific conflict when their rule is violated.
For a single employee | For all employees |
When the employee has a conflicted time entry the Days with conflicts icon in the upper right corner will appear | When employees have conflicted time entries the Employees with conflicts icon in the upper right corner will appear |

Now you have two options:
Ignore Conflicts
- Click IGNORE CONFLICTS
Once a conflict is ignored we will not show it anymore. We will add to the time tracking history that the conflict was ignored and add the time entry as it was entered. If the time entry gets changed after the conflict was ignored we will raise a conflict again if it is applicable.
Approve Conflicts
For a single conflict
- Click APPROVE at the very time entry
- In the pop-up click YES, IGNORE AND APPROVE
