Attendance
Expected working hours-the number of hours expected for that month (depending on the work schedule assigned to the employee).
Tracked working hours-the actual number of hours an employee has worked, as recorded through either punch clock, Kiosk PIN code, Kiosk QR code or simply tracking through API.

Waiver-If a certain amount of overtime should be waived per day, week, or month, please specify it waiver.
- Example: Waiver set to 1 hour, 8 expected hours per day, 11 tracked hours
Overtime calculation: 11 - 8 - 1 = 2 hours
Note:The regulations regarding working hours in Germany: -The maximum permitted working timen = 8 hours per day -As an exception, it can be increased to 10 hours if compensation is reached within six month.

Accrual-Accrued time off refers to the time off that an employee has earned or accumulated over a period of time. In our software, employees can accrue time off on a monthly or yearly basis. This means:
- Monthly (known as Accrual): Employees receive 1/12 of the base allowance each month
- Yearly (known as Lump Sum): Employees receive the full base allowance all at once
Time off
Carry over days- unused paid-time-off. According to german law unused holiday can be carried forward until the 31st of March of the next calendar year if the employee was unable to take the holiday due to operational or personal reasons. In Kenjo you can adjust carry over manually, this article will explain in detail how to do it.
Balance-If an employee finishes the previously cycle with a negative balance, this negative balance may be rolled over to the new cycle (based on the policy configuration).
For all Time off's that you have not set as unlimited, you can manually adjust the balance for the employee:
Proration- Prorating reflects an earned time off approach to accruals.For example, let's imagine that the cycle for a time off policy begins in the 1st of January. If a worker starts their job part-way through a leave year, they’re only entitled to part of their total annual leave for the current leave year. Here you can find more information and instructions.
Time off requests
Submitted- After a time off request has been created and does not require an approval the status of request will be submitted.
Requested-When a time off request has been issued.
Processed-is the final step of time off request.Either after the start date of request or as the start date arrives the request will be marked as processed.
In Approval- After the manager approves the request and the second step is required, the status of the request will be marked as In Approval.
Workflow
Trigger-is an event or action that causes the workflow to run.According to the Object you picked, you will have different choices of triggers available. This means that you can choose what will make the system react and perform the action we later set up. You can only select one trigger for your workflow. People
Start date - corresponds to the start date that would have been set when the work schedule template was created.
Contract end date-The Contract ends date refers to the last day of employment as set in a contract (normally used for fixed-term employment contract for now)Setting a contract end date is for internal information (employee can see it) and does not initiate automatic employment termination on that date.
Impact of setting this date:
- Time off end date proration (when enabled in the policy)
- Workflows if configured to use this dateTermination date
Termination date - implies a permanent termination of employment rather than the end of a fixed-term contract.As such, the termination of employment applies to both fixed-term and an open-ended employment contracts (private information)

Yearly, monthly, and hourly salary-A pay period refers to the frequency with which your employees are paid. Refer to Pay periods in Payroll to find out more.
Manager-has an overview and planning right for their team.
Workday-a period of time (number of hours) in a day when an employee works according to initial contract.
Biography-A detailed description of an individual's life, professional background, education history, achievements, and skill set.
Public profile-a description of the exact tasks involved in a particular job, list of the skills, experience, and personality a person would need in order to do the job.
Performance review
Category- commonly called competencies as well.
Performance matrix-used to evaluate and categorise employees based on their performance .
End date- after the end date for performance review everything can be edited.

Other
Bounced email- an email that couldn't be delivered
Meeting template-a pre-formatted set of information that can serve as a starting point for a specific type of meeting
Goal- is generally followed up by a process of planning tasks and initiatives that need to be done in order to reach the goal or sub-goal.
Task-a piece of work to be done or undertaken
